Los Angeles, CA, March 11, 2015Ecosense, a fast-growing manufacturer of high-performance LED lighting technologies, announced today that it has received a record six(6) Product Innovation Awards (PIA) from Architectural SSL Magazine. Ecosense swept the cove/grazing category with five recognitions for these industry-leading prod-ucts: Slim Cove Int™, EcoSpec® Linear INT, EcoSpec® Linear HP INT, EcoSpec® Linear INT High CRI 90+ and EcoSpec® Linear INT Warm Cove luminaires. A sixth award honored the EcoSpec® Linear Dimming Control Module – Plenum Rated for best controls technology.

Architectural SSL PIA awards program recognizes the latest product developments in the LED lighting industry. Winning products are selected from hundreds of new products released during the previous 12 months. Ecosense linear LED fixtures are high perform-ing fixtures that are high respected by lighting designers for their design, quality, power, flexibility, and control options. EcoSpec Linear Dimming Control Module (LDCM) recei-ves a 0-10V dimming signal and a fixed line voltage input and converts it to an ELV dimmed output. One LDCM can be used per run up to the maximum wattage.

“Now in our fifth year, the SSL luminaire and components market is really starting to come into its own, be it the maturation of products designed to replace forms we’ve all grown accustomed to, to exciting new forms and features that really show LED’s ad-vancement as a technology that’s going to take us in completely new directions,” com-mented Jim Crockett, Editorial Director of Architectural SSL Magazine.
Mark Reynoso, CEO of Ecosense, says “It is an honor to be acknowledged for our lu-minaires and new dimming technology. We are passionate about designing unique and progressive products that are at the forefront of the lighting industry.”

Honored with RIBA Stirling Prize and two Product Innovation Awards

Los Angeles, CA, March 11, 2015 — Ecosense, a fast-growing manufacturer of high-performance LED lighting technologies, announced today that it was recognized in two prestigious competitions, the RIBA Stirling Prize for the Best New Building of the Year and two 2014 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) from Architectural Products Magazine.

EcoSpec® Linear HP EXT Wall Wash luminaires from Ecosense illuminate the exterior of the RIBA award-winning, Everyman Theatre, in Liverpool, England. The original Eve-ryman Theatre opened in 1964 but recently underwent a complete renovation to create an entirely new and sustainable building. The lighting design team was tasked with en-suring that the soul of the old Everyman Theatre remained intact while utilizing modern and sustainable materials. To achieve this desired result, the team chose the EcoSpec Linear HP EXT Wall Wash luminaries for their unparalleled flexibility and energy-saving footprint.

Regarding the project, judges for the RIBA Stirling Prize said: “It is truly a ground-breaking public building, achieved through a clever team – client, architect, consultants and contractors – where the new truly celebrates the past.”

Ecosense also recently received two Product Innovation Awards (PIA) from Architec-tural Products Magazine, a leading source for trending products. The EcoSpec® Linear Dimming Control Module (LDCM) and the Slim Cove Int were both recognized in the Interior Lighting category for their unique design. The LDCM-PL takes a 0-10V dimming signal and a fixed line voltage input and converts it to an ELV dimmed output for the smoothest, flicker-free dimming. The Plenum Rating allows for easier installation, and meets local building codes for a wider array of spaces and project types. Slim Cove Int is the smallest and most versatile cove lighting on the market, with a diameter smaller than a nickel.

“Building on the success of last year’s program, our award proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and af-fordability,” commented Jim Crockett, Editorial Director of Architectural Products Maga-zine.

“We are thrilled to be recognized and appreciated by lighting designers, both in the US and abroad,” said Mark Reynoso, CEO of Ecosense. “Ecosense is committed to developing new products that meet the unique demands of lighting designers every-where.”
